ESHAP New Provider Information Session
MaineHousing’s Homeless Initiative Department will be holding an online information session for any agencies that are interested in applying for the Emergency Shelter and Housing Assistance Program (ESHAP) for the first time in 2026. Attendance at this information session will be a prerequisite to application; interested agencies must have a representative attend in order to be eligible to apply.

In accordance with the terms of the Notice of Funding Availability for Winter Overnight Warming Shelters 2025-26 (“Notice”), MaineHousing hereby provides this Notice of Amendment and amends the RFP as follows: Deadline for submission of applications has been extended to Friday, September 12, 2025 at 5:00pm.

2025-2026 Notice of Funding Availability for Winter Overnight Warming Shelters
MaineHousing is allocating the last remaining flexible funds to address the issue of unsheltered homelessness during the winter months of 2025-26. This Notice of Funding Availability invites applications for funding of overnight warming shelters to become operational by November 15, 2025 and operate until April 30, 2026. Deadline for submission is August 29, 2025 @ 5pm.

Join us for the 2025 Maine Affordable Housing Conference as we discuss the future of affordable housing in Maine. The conference will be held in Bangor at the Cross Insurance Center on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
