2023 NOFA for Winter Overnight Warming Shelters
Governor Mills and the Maine State Legislature have provided funding to MaineHousing, to address the crisis of unsheltered homelessness in Maine. This NOFA invites applications for funding of overnight warming shelters to become operational as soon as possible and operate until April 30th, 2023. Deadline for responses is 2/3/2023 @5pm.
MaineHousing Sets Record for First Home Loan Volume
MaineHousing is pleased to announce its Homeownership Department has set a new record for the total value of new First Home loans purchased in 2022, topping its previous record by 56 percent. The agency purchased First Home loans valued at just over $177.7 million up from its previous record, set in 2021, of $152 million.
2023 MaineHousing Outlook Report
The report, conceived by MaineHousing's Board of Commissioner's Chairman Frank O'Hara and produced by the agency's staff includes several key metrics and analysis from 2022 in an attempt to forecast which factors will help and or hurt affordable housing development in 2023.
