    The Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and MaineHousing are pleased to announce a partnership to improve housing opportunities for MaineCare (Medicaid) members, particularly those facing chronic homelessness and struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.

    2019 Housing Bond Funded Program for New Housing for Older Adults
    Maine State Housing Authority is now accepting eligible affordable housing proposals. The Housing Bond of $15,000,000 will be used to leverage private and other funds to provide affordable housing for low-income households headed by a person 55 years of age or older. Funds can be used for the construction of new energy-efficient affordable housing and the adaptive reuse of existing structures. Funding will be awarded to eligible projects on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds remaining are not enough to support any more projects. Click the title for more details.
