NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT AND DRAFT AVAILABILITY
2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
FOR CDBG, ESG, HOME and HTF
The Maine State Housing Authority and the Department of Economic and Community Development are drafting the Annual Action Plan for 2026 which identifies annual goals, priorities, and objectives under the State’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan. Citizens are encouraged to comment.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the State of Maine to publish an Annual Action Plan. The 2026 Annual Action Plan will identify the annual goals, priorities, and objectives for using the following sources of funding:
These programs receive approximately $21 million in annual allocations.
The draft Action Plan is available on the Internet at www.mainehousing.org/policy-research/federal-funds and https://www.maine.gov/decd/community-development.
MaineHousing and DECD will hold a public hearing to gather comments on the draft Action Plan on Friday, May 20, 2026 @ 11:30 am at MaineHousing, 26 Edison Drive, Augusta. Meeting rooms are accessible to persons with physical disabilities. Upon sufficient notice, appropriate communication auxiliary aids and services will be provided. Upon sufficient notice, written materials provided in connection with the meeting will also be made available in alternative formats, such as large print or audio cassette.
