Peter Anastos Image

Chairman Peter Anastos is co-founder and principal of Maine Course Hospitality Group, a holding company in which he leads the acquisition and development of hospitality properties from Maine to Virginia. Previously, he founded and co-owned Anastos and Nadeau Inc., a home building and land development company that developed neighborhoods and homes in the Greater Portland and Greater Boston areas. He is Past President of the Maine Real Estate Developers Association and the Greater Portland Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He lives in Yarmouth with his family.

Tom Davis Picture

Thomas Davis is retired after spending 18 years at Skills, Inc., where he was CEO until late 2016. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in business and human services, and held governance roles for a number of nonprofit organizations, including past President of the Maine Association of Nonprofits. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of California-Riverside as well as a Master of Education from the University of Maine.

John Gallagher ImageJohn Gallagher is director of Maine State Housing Authority. Previously, he served as executive director of Westbrook Housing Authority and president of Westbrook Development Corporation. Before his tenure at Westbrook Housing Authority, Mr. Gallagher served as program manager for the Development Department at MaineHousing. He is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Advisory Council. He has held seats on multiple boards including the Maine Association of Public Housing Directors, Residential Initiatives for Maine, and the Southern Maine Affordable Rental Housing Coalition.

Sheryl Gregory is a real estate broker with Homestead Realty in Winthrop and a past president of the Maine Association of Realtors. Sheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and education, and has taught real estate courses. She has actively supported affordable housing through her work as a member of the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program.

Larry Gross PictureLaurence Gross  is CEO and executive director of the Southern Maine Agency on Aging, where he has worked for almost four decades developing and administering home and community-based services designed to help older adults continue living safely in their homes and communities. Laurence has served as a board member of the Kaler Vaill Memorial Home for Women and of Maine Behavioral Healthcare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Maine.

Terry Hayes ImageTerry Hayes is Maine State Treasurer, the first independent in this position. From 2006 through 2014, she served as Democratic representative in the Maine House of Representatives, and was Assistant Minority Leader and a member of the Legislative Council. Terry served on the MSAD #39 school board in Buckfield from 1991 through 2004. She volunteers in her local communities by serving as moderator for town meetings and helping connect local school children with their state government. Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Bowdoin College and a Master of Business Administration from Thomas College.

Kevin Joseph ImageKevin P. Joseph is co-owner of Joseph’s Fireside Steak House in Waterville. He has served on the boards of Associated Grocers, Kennebec Federal Savings Bank, the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter, and the United Way. He also has hosted numerous benefits to raise funds for the shelter, and donates food to area food banks. Kevin is a graduate of Thomas College. He and his wife, Diane, have two grown children.

Lincoln Merrill ImageLincoln J. Merrill, Jris president and chief executive officer of Patriot Insurance Co. and serves as vice president of Patriot Life Insurance. He has served as a member of the board of directors of Maine Insurance Guaranty Association and of Maine Life & Health Guaranty Association, vice president of the Maine Association of Insurance Companies, and a member of the audit committee of the Guaranty Fund Management Services of Boston. He is active in many organizations, including 4H clubs, the United Society of Shakers, the Royal River Conservation Trust, and the North Yarmouth Foreclosure Committee. Lincoln lives in North Yarmouth with his family.

Donna Talarico ImageDonna Talarico of North Yarmouth is senior vice president and branch manager for residential lending at Guaranteed Rate Inc., and previously was residential market manager at Bank of America. She was instrumental in helping MaineHousing establish its first-time homebuyer education class. Donna is past president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Maine, and serves on the Greater Portland Habitat for Humanity board.

Jim Whitten PictureJames Whitten was born and raised in Augusta, where he graduated from Cony High School in 1967. After graduation he began his career as a chef, and worked as a restaurant manager or restaurant owner throughout Maine. James retired from cooking in 2014 and moved back to the Augusta area as one of the first tenants in the newly renovated Cony Flatiron Building, a development supported by MaineHousing. Mr. Whitten happily resides in the building where he graduated high school, and enjoys being surrounded by neighbors and friends.
