Program SummaryThe FSS Program helps families that have Housing Choice Vouchers to start savings accounts and find jobs. Having a job and savings will help you to become independent.
It is way to invest in your future. With FSS, you can finish school, find a better job, or start a business. You can get care for your children or transportation that you need to keep your job.
Taking part in the FSS Program is up to you. If you want be in the program, you will sign a five-year contract. Then you will come up with a plan to become independent. It is up to you to work on your goals, with help from a FSS person.
Am I Eligible? If you currently have a Housing Choice Voucher from MaineHousing, are able to work, and want to be self-sufficient, you may be eligible.
