The MaineHousing Rental Assistance Coupon program provides rental assistance to people who have been homeless for seven or more consecutive days and are willing to participate in a program to help them become self-sufficient.
The RAC+ program has assisted approximately 960 Homeless Individuals and Families since the program began in 2002.
| Am I Eligible? |
You must be homeless at the time of application and must have been homeless for at least seven days. Preference is provided to:
- Youths age 18 to 24
- Families
- Individuals referred by correctional caseworkers or probation officers
- Victims of domestic violence
