If you are homeless and need emergency shelter, or need transitional or subsidized housing to get back on your feet, MaineHousing may be able to help. We finance emergency shelters and other affordable housing options, and can help you locate this housing. We also provide rental assistance to people who are homeless and working toward self-sufficiency. MaineHousing and its partners are working to end homelessness in Maine.

		Rental Assistance Coupon Plus
		The Rental Assistance Coupon Plus Program (RAC+ Program) offers rental assistance to eligible people who have been homeless for seven or more consecutive days and who are willing to participate in a self-sufficiency program.

		Emergency Shelter Funding
		MaineHousing provides homeless assistance grants to emergency shelters serving people who are homeless.
