You may be eligible if you:
- Meet Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) income eligibility guidelines.
- Own a mobile home that was manufactured in 1976 or earlier and the land that it is on.
- Live in the mobile home as your principal residence.
- Are interested in purchasing an eligible ENERGY STAR mobile home from a MaineHousing-approved vendor.
To the extent the mortgage you can afford is not enough to pay for the replacement mobile home, including eligible costs involved in placing the home, you may be eligible for an interest-free loan that would not require payment until you sell the property.
Because this was a pilot program, eligible participants were pre-selected.
