Peter Anastos is Co-founder and Principal of Maine Course Hospitality Group, a holding company in which he leads the acquisition and development of hospitality properties from Maine to Virginia. In the last eight years, he has engaged in the development of eight new Hilton- and Marriott-affiliated properties in Maine. Previously, he founded and co-owned Anastos and Nadeau Inc., a home building and land development company that developed neighborhoods and homes in the Greater Portland and Greater Boston areas. He is Past President of the Maine Real Estate Developers Association and the Greater Portland Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He lives in Yarmouth with his family. His board term began October 2011.

  Adam Bradstreet was appointed to the Board of Commissioners by Governor Paul LePage. He’s employed as a Housing Quality Standards Inspector for the Waterville Housing Authority. Prior to his work as an inspector, he was employed at Bradstreet Homes in Winslow, a manufactured home business owned and operated by his family. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono.


Donald F. Capoldo, Jr currently serves as Executive Director of Plant Memorial Home in Bath, a 37-unit assisted living facility. Previously, he was employed by United Adult Ministries and the U.S. Navy. He is a member of the Bath Rotary Club, and served on its board of directors, and the Southern Midcoast Chamber of Commerce. He has a professional affiliation with the American College of Health Care Administrators, and served on its Assisted Living Board in 2008. He has a Master’s in Business Administration and a Master’s of Healthcare from the University of Miami. He lives in Bath with his family. His board term began October 2011.

Neria Douglass is Treasurer of the State of Maine. From 2003-2011, she served as the State Auditor, a position she held for two terms. Prior to the Maine Legislature electing her as auditor, she was a state Senator from 1998-2004. During that time served as Senate chair of the Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs (2002-2004), the Committee on Legal and Veterans Affairs (2000-2002), and the Committee on Labor (1998-2000), as well as a member of the Committee on Insurance and Financial Services. She's also held public positions as Councilor at Large at the City of Auburn, and as chair of the Auburn School Committee. She's a graduate of Wellesley College with a bachelor's degree in sociology, and of Vanderbilt University Law School. She lives in Auburn.

John Gallagher is Director of Maine State Housing Authority, a position he was appointed to by Governor Paul LePage in early fall 2012. Since 1999, Mr. Gallagher served as executive director of Westbrook Housing Authority and president of Westbrook Development Corporation. The two agencies develop and manage affordable and low-income housing in the Westbrook and Greater Portland areas.  Before his tenure at Westbrook Housing Authority, Mr. Gallagher served as program manager for the Development Division at MaineHousing. He also has more than 20 years of experience in residential real estate. Mr. Gallagher is certified and trained in public housing management, multi-family housing development finance, and housing credit underwriting. He’s held seats on the boards of the Maine Association of Public Housing Directors, Residential Initiatives for Maine, the Southern Maine Affordable Rental Housing Coalition, the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, the Northern New England Housing Investment Fund, and Avesta Housing. He currently is vice president for professional development for the New England Regional Council of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, and is a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston’s Advisory Council, and the Board of the Genesis Foundation and its investment committee.

Donald H. Gean has been the Executive Director of the York County Shelter Programs Inc., whose programs include substance abuse and mental health treatment, targeted case management, outpatient drug court program, supportive services, and transitional housing, since 1985. Prior to that he served as Executive Director of the Area Substance Abuse Council in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has served as Chair of the Maine Interagency Task Force on Homelessness and on the Board of Directors of the National Coalition for the Homeless, and is a former Legislator. He is a graduate of Arizona State University. Don Gean became a commissioner in 2006. Prior to that the position was vacant.

Sheryl Gregory is a real estate broker with Homestead Realty in Winthrop and a past president of the Maine Association of Realtors. Sheryl holds a BA in History and Education and has taught real estate courses. She has actively supported affordable housing through her work as a member of the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program and Habitat for Humanity.

  Lincoln J. Merrill, Jr. is president and chief executive officer of Patriot Insurance Co. in Yarmouth, and serves as vice president of Patriot Life Insurance. He has served as a member of the board of directors of Maine Insurance Guaranty Association, the board of directors of Maine Life & Health Guaranty Association, vice president of the Maine Association of Insurance Companies, and a member of the audit committee of the Guaranty Fund Management Services of Boston. He is active in civic, political and charitable organizations, including 4H clubs, the United Society of Shakers, the Royal River Conservation Trust, and the North Yarmouth Foreclosure Committee. He lives in North Yarmouth with his family. His board term began October 2011.

Mark Samson is Vice President of Lending for Rainbow Federal Credit Union in Lewiston. He previously held the position of Vice President of Senior Retail & Mortgage Banking for Mechanics Savings Bank, where he served bank customers since 1987. He is on the Board of Directors for Community Concepts and is a former State Representative that served on the Legislative Committee on Business, Research, Commerce and Economic Development.


John C. Turner is the is a U.S. Bankruptcy Court trustee who works on Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases, a position he’s held for more than 19 years. Previously, he was employed by Development Concepts, Inc., in Auburn and served as Executive Director of the Lewiston Auburn Economic Growth Council. He is a member of the Center Right Coalition in Augusta, and chairman of the Androscoggin County Conservation Coalition. He is Past Chairman of the Board of the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Economic Development Council of Maine, former Trustee of the Maine Community College System, former Maine State Chamber of Commerce board member, and past advisory board member of Central Maine Technical College. He received a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Thomas College in Waterville. He lives with his family in Auburn. His board term began November 2011.
